nathandrawsdaily:

Pencil sketch of a bird-headed warrior, watching the trees. Is he yearning for a simpler time, when he and his ilk perched and sang sweetly from the boughs rather than cleaving enemy skulls with his broadsword and facing deadly hordes?
Or maybe there’s something shiny up there or something.

He looks surprisingly adorable for a beaten up warrior-bird :-)

I believe this is the sort of cat my uppity little Pounce just might fall for…except for the chasing grasshoppers part. That’s just undignified!

Today we have Mr. Phineas Tibbs, esquire.

He enjoys ragtime jazz, strolls in the park and chasing grasshoppers.

Blue Mountains, March 17th 2012.

The tiniest snail I’ve ever seen! It was attempting some wonderful Ninja-like manoeuvre, hanging above the Scenic Walkway at Katoomba by a thin slime-thread. Its shell was only about 3mm in diameter. It was probably peeved at me for ruining its daredevil stunt, but I’m sure it would have been squished by the hoard coming up behind us.

Little did I know that I know someone who knows the secret of Nessie!

An entry for the Tuesday Sketch tumblr, which is proving to be a good source of ideas free from the taint of my own warped mind.

And I still get to make stupid jokes, so it’s win/win.

The image of Boromir, in his fantasy, medieval looking armor, with these awesome shades just makes me laugh.

And that Sean Bean walked to set because he doesn’t like flying makes me laugh too.

Woohoo! My first iPad drawing using the Adobe Ideas app and my funky (but fake) Alupen-like stylus, with a bit of photoshop tweaking at the end. ‘Twas fun…took much longer than pencil and paper, but then again my lines wouldn’t have been so smooth. Yay Adobe!

Of course, people with some actual drawing talent will have much better results!

The view from the Sigiriya rock fortress in Sri Lanka. Normal and after putting it through the tilt-shift maker. Such a cool online tool…and most things tend to look cuter when small….most things…

My First Gingerbread…anything!

A tragedy unfolding on a kettle…a jumping spider has managed to sneak up on a pair of mating pantry moths…they were obviously distracted!

It ended rather nastily for both moths - Hurrah for the intrepid spider! If that seems a tad nasty…I have a pantry moth infestation, so I would happily welcome the spider’s entire family >;->

A crazy experiment with a funky online program called Scribbler. And the subject just happened to be one of my favourite things…a gummi bear…mmmm…sweet chewy good(?)ness…

Sigiri apsaras : Maidens of Sigiriya, Lion’s Rock, in Sri Lanka.

Dating from about the late 5th Century, these frescoes are still surprisingly vivid due to their sheltered existence on a cave wall…

oh…for such a perky bosom….
